Mr. Thomas Kwarfo is a seasoned finance professional with over 26 years of experience in internal audit, finance, and accounting. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wales, a Bachelor of Science in Administration from the University of Ghana, and a Post-Chartered Diploma in Forensic Audit. He is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).

Prior to his appointment as Director of Finance at Sunyani Technical University, Mr. Kwarfo served as the Director of Internal Audit at the same institution from December 2022 to December 2024. He also served as the Head of Internal Audit at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for 18 years (2004-2022). Additionally, he worked with the Church of Pentecost (2000-2004) as a Deputy Audit Manager and with the Ghana Revenue Authority (1998-2000) as a Tax Auditor.

Mr. Kwarfo has demonstrated leadership and expertise in internal auditing, financial analysis, and strategic planning. He served as a member of the Audit Committees of Kumasi Technical University and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from 2018 to 2022, and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of Kumasi Technical University from 2020 to 2022.

As Director of Finance at Sunyani Technical University, Mr. Kwarfo will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to the university, ensuring the effective management of financial resources, and maintaining the highest standards of financial governance and accountability.
