VC calls on Bono Regional Minister

The Vice-Chancellor of Sunyani Technical University, Professor Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, has paid a courtesy call on the Bono Regional Minister, Justina Owusu-Banahene at the Regional Co-ordinating Council in Sunyani.

Accompanied by the Registrar of the University, Samuel Ankama Obour and the Public Relations Officer, Dickson Kyere-Duah, the visit afforded the Vice-Chancellor the opportunity to interact with the new Regional Minister and discuss some areas of mutual concern.

Professor Adinkrah-Appiah assured the Minister of the University’s full support in the discharge of her mandate and asked her to justify the confidence the government and the good people of the Region have reposed in her.

On his part, the Registrar, Mr. Samuel Ankama Obour requested the minister to use her good offices to lobby for a 3km asphalt overlay for the roads on campus, especially the Waterloo link road.

Madam Owusu-Banahene assured the management of her commitment to work in close harmony with the University to achieve its vision of becoming a centre of excellence for the provision of career-focused, practically-oriented and entrepreneurially-inclined higher and middle-level manpower training for the socio-economic development of Ghana.

Present at the meeting were the Chief Director of the Bono RCC, Mr. R. Korzie Sambo and Deputy Directors, Michael Gyamfi and Samuel Gyamerah.
